York Elite Pathway Program
Start September 2025: York Elite Pathway Program
The York Elite Pathway Program bridges high school education and advanced university preparation. Running from September to December, this 12-week program engages Ace Acumen Heights students in weekly in-person classes with York University mentors.
These sessions delve into advanced science and mathematics topics, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Students gain access to York University’s top-tier resources and expertise, ensuring a learning experience that challenges and excites them.
Highlights include mastering practical skills such as suturing techniques using professional pads and exploring laparoscopic surgery with advanced training instruments. These hands-on activities provide students with valuable insights into real-world applications of scientific knowledge.
Additionally, York’s Science Faculty staff host admission meetings to guide students through the university enrollment process, ensuring they are well-prepared for the next stage of their academic journey.
Pathway to York University
The York Pathway Program offers Ace Acumen Heights students a structured and seamless route to higher education at York University. This program is designed to ensure students’ success by removing common barriers to university admissions.
- Students achieving an interim or final grade of 80% or higher in their ENG4U course at Ace Acumen Heights qualify for an exemption from York University’s English language requirements.
- The program guarantees admission for students meeting York’s minimum requirements, which include six Grade 12 credits, enabling direct entry into their chosen programs.
Students gain access to a wide range of programs, including science, engineering, mathematics, fine arts, design, and business (Schulich). This cooperation between Ace Acumen Heights and York University equips students with the tools they need to excel in their chosen fields.
York Science Summer Camp
Summer 2025: York Science Summer Camp
The York Science Summer Camp is an exciting gateway for Ace Acumen Heights students to dive into the fascinating world of science. Hosted on the vibrant York University campus, this program offers an immersive experience where students explore renowned academic facilities and engage in hands-on learning.
In the lab, students uncover the hidden details of life by observing plant and animal cells under the microscope. These hands-on experiments not only spark curiosity but also connect classroom knowledge to real-world applications, creating a sense of wonder and excitement.
Guided by York University’s science department staff and supported by Ace Acumen Heights educators, participants gain valuable insights into York’s programs and campus life. Through engaging discussions with professors, students learn about the university’s science curriculum and resources available to aspiring scientists.
This transformative experience deepens students’ understanding of York University’s academic offerings and inspires them to envision their future within its dynamic community.
